Drugs in Wildlife Rehabilitation – Dr Lynn Miller

Pharmacological support for wildlife patients saves lives. But as professionals, we must ensure drugs are used appropriately and targeted to the problems our patients face. This presentation will look at the major drug groups used at BirdCare Aotearoa, why dose rates and the drug cycle are so important to understand, under- (or over-) dosing pain medications, and why some medications are better than others.

One-day Intensive Frontline Emergency Training

Learn to respond safely and humanely to wildlife emergencies, and develop skills to successfully care for wildlife in need.

Facilitator: Dr Lynn Miller, who will share her many years of experience teaching wildlife responders worldwide. Lynn developed and taught the course in MA, USA that was required for all front-line officers.
