The Tūī has thrived where many native birds have not. They populate many city fringes and are beautiful to behold in singing flocks.

Tania Mallow’s Tūī is one of the most elegant if not regal versions there is. He is often described as handsome in his profile form and close association to John Keulemans Tūī bird in the publication Buller’s birds.
