Many of you have contributed to BirdCare Aotearoa’s nursery programme in previous years. Arohanui! This nursery mahi (work) is incredibly challenging, and involves the art of hand-rearing and feeding orphaned baby birds, during long 12-hour days. We have such a dedicated nursery team, and they need our support!
Are you keen to take up a challenge to support the baby birds? Invite your club, school or work mates to join you, and Move for Good!
Sign up for a walk, run, swim, cycle, orienteering, or do a fun outdoor challenge such as Birdie Bingo (see below) or help the environment with a beach cleanup – and ask your friends and family to sponsor you. Be a Toa Tiaki Manu (champion of the birds) for BirdCare Aotearoa!
All proceeds raised will help our dedicated team save the lives of rescued baby wild birds!
Move for Good is proudly supported by Allbirds and Tree Adventures, and all registered champions go in the draw to win your own eco-friendly Allbirds sneakers or a Tree Adventures double pass (prize draw 31 March 2025)!
In recognition of your efforts, champions who complete their challenge will receive an eco-friendly, locally-crafted medal!
The school with the most champions wins a Rimu trophy!
